Sea Palace

The first floating restaurant in Europa

Since 1984 is Sea Palace, with her characteristic Chinese pagoda-style architecture, a landmark in the heart of Amsterdam. Enjoy our authentic cuisine in an oriental ambiance. Our specialties are the Cantonese cuisine. But many guest also love our Beijing duck, hot pot or seafood, like lobster. We also serve traditional dim sum, house made by our dimsum chef. Quality of our food is one of our main priorities. Therefore we take care in selecting our ingredients and suppliers.


More than 650 seats

Our restaurant consists of 3 floors. On the ground flour there is a open bar and our a la carte restaurant. Our second floor can be reserved for larger groups, weddings or events. The top floor houses two private rooms. The large room fits about 90 guests and has access to the roof deck. This room has multi-media facilities for presentations. The small private room can fit max. 13 persons.

Special occasions

Sea Palace is specialized in authentic Chinese banquets. We have composed special menus with typical Chinese celebration dishes. We can also arrange a splendid buffet for your reception.

Would you like to have your wedding ceremony at Sea Palace?
Our restaurant is appointed as a special wedding location by the city of Amsterdam.

Experience it

In Sea Palace east meets west; oriental surroundings and at the same time view the typical skyline of Amsterdam. We are open during the whole year from 12am until 23pm. Dim sum and lunch are served from noon till 16pm. Our bar opens at 16pm. Click here for online reservation.

Sinds 2013 is restaurant Sea Palace, Oosterdoks- kade in Amsterdam, donateur van de Stichting Steun Emma Kinderziekenhuis AMC. Van elk verkocht kindermenu schenken wij 1 euro aan deze stichting. In het kader van ons 30-jarig jubileum hebben we Stichting Steun Emma begin 2014 nog eens 25.000 euro extra geschonken.

Sea Palace verkozen tot restaurant met 'Beste kreeft 2013' Dagblad Parool heeft ons heeft gekozen tot restaurant met de 'Beste kreeft 2013'. De kreeft, die Sea Palace serveert, komt uit de St. Mary Bay in Canada. De St Mary Bay is te vergelijken met een fjord. Deze nagenoeg afgesloten baai zit boordevol hoogwaardige kwaliteit kreeft. De St. Mary bay lobster is een ¡®hard shell¡¯ kreeft. Dat is de beste kwaliteit die voor handen is. Het vlees van de St Mary bay Lobster kreeft heeft een stevige bite en een zoete smaak. Wij bereiden hem met gember en lente ui ¡®uit de wok¡¯. De St Mary bay Lobster bezit een groen status en heeft goedkeuring van Stichting Noordzee. Wij vinden het belangrijk om duurzaam gevangen kreeft en vis te gebruiken. Onze visleverancier Jan van As weet dat en zoekt daarom naar de best beschikbare producten. De St Mary bay Lobster heeft haar duurzaamheid status verkregen omdat de vangsten duurzaam zijn. Daarnaast worden zwangere kreeften beschermd doordat ze terug in het water worden gelaten. De populatie blijft op peil en de kreeften mogen in alle seizoenen worden gevangen. Hierdoor kan Sea Palace deze overheerlijke kreeft het hele jaar door aanbieden.     Route and parking

    Sea Palace is nearby the Amsterdam Central Station.
    From the station it is just a five-minute walk to our restaurant. If you travel by car, there is a large public parking, Parking Centrum Oosterdok, opposite of the restaurant. You can park here for EUR 1,- per 12 minutes (for the first 5 hours). If you stay longer then 5 hours, you only pay EUR 20 for 24 hours. Starting 9 April 2018 the parking garage is only accessible in one direction. The entree at De Ruijterkade at the Powerzone bowling alley will be closed and only the entree on the Oosterdoksstraat at the Hilton Doubletree hotel will be open.
